The finish, V, W, X,Y, AND Z - Emotional Feelings

 V FOR THE EMOTIONAL FEELING, VALUE

We Carry Negatives.

These stories listed in TheStoryRealm because of an astonishing book that entered my life when I was very sick and had to change my expectation for myself, The Dark Side of the Light Chasers, by Debbie Ford, published in 1998. The book handed to me by my best friend, Janet, we did professional gardening for eight years. I have known Janet since the late ’70s. I was an in-house child-care provider (pre-school for ages 2 to 5) with my children and about 30 others, and Janet ran an after school daycare.

 As far as I can tell, most knowledge about who we are and who we become is not the same for all. The experiences we have and the attitude given to us and what we carry are the successful or impaired thought our lives. How one handles burdens offered given to us by parents, schools, and especially society norms affects what we think we can accomplish.

Knowing and understanding emotional attitudes in our vast world passed to us as girls, maiden, matron, or crones —> these feelings, beliefs, emotions can be gifts with positive results.

HOPE is the emotion offer through these folktales about women as servers, who enlighten our progress as a healthy, rational, and successfully individual. I’m talking about personal attitudes that extend an abundance of peace and prosperity of the mind.

The woman featured in these folktales used skills to succeed in life. As a woman, I may and can use all of these skills in my goals and journeys into male-dominated literature, news, government, justice system, I have value.

~~~~~~~
 W FOR THE EMOTIONAL FEELING, WHOLE
 Negatives Have the Positives Hidden.
-->First, is to admit negative feeling has a positive emotion wrapped. What I mean is, with great fear is enduring courage, with laziness is ambition. So when I looked at my feelings that I had charted, there were 104 negatives, which mean I held 104 positives, the opposite effect, actually to ensure balancing.
— > Second is to notice when you look at the charts of emotions, they appeared like an onion, which grows in rounds, For each emotion charted, there are about 10 or 15 that group together. These peeked into a triangle, and inside the layer of the circle leaves wait push from the top, just like an onion set in the earth, leaves force from the top with new growth. These leaves can be positive or negative. As feminists, we can change the negative that might grow in how we think as she.
—> Third, when a set of negatives are cleared, the next one comes, and again with the negative and positives, we grew another onion into another triangle with leaves pushing the growth. Each triangle set afire by a task:  writing, artist, health, money, success, parents, friends, family, mothering, victim, oppressed or growing positive for balancing a whole being.
~~~~~~

 X FOR THE EMOTIONAL FEELING, EXCELLENT!

The Stink Onion Grew in my Yard.

When Janet I did the gardening, one of our observations was that each client grew their own weeds and that weed prospered in the gardens. Each client had different weeds even though they lived next door to each other. A negative emotion attaches and becomes real in our physical world. Maybe the client was throwing the plants off. We also noticed that flowers can be planted by clients.

My concern was that I was throw off a weed in my garden.

Yes, I did; I discovered the stink onions.

The stink onion spreads by small bulbs in the ground and seeds on top, dropping to the ground, an obsessive dominate weed. The leaves stink. The onions grew among the roses and along my path coming into my house. I was horrified.
Although the onion’s flowers smell sweet and form seeds resembling pearls, the seeds are associated with tears, regrets by the decisions made, to irrigate in the eye, which demanded to clear for better vision.

"If only, I thought … clearly"
"Were it not that … impossible"
"But … I should have … known"
"The male so dominate."
"Redoing this will be … painful"

I hated myself, I let this happen, I planted the onions, I criticize my writing and art because I was not a male, man, or lad guarantee a spotlight. I spread these onions around in other gardens. I am a tool of abuse spreading the burdensome, laborious, troublesome, tedious onions, which showed no remorse, guilt, blame, doubts, and required pulling and digging, again and again, year after year. Hard work with constant watching, enormous demands on me. I had planted the onions for a long time, which caused severe hardship for the rest of my garden.

With patience, carefulness, and persistence, I dug up the roots and stopped the spread of seeds into mine and other gardens.

~~~~~~~~
 Y FOR THE EMOTIONAL FEELING, YEA!
I Glared at FEAR.
I read Debbie Ford’s book again and again and found I could make a chart about the attitudes that came up for me. I have chartered 04, sounds like a lot, and it is.  I used my opinions and the ones I saw projected between my friends or at group meetings.
I came from the working class with a negative attitude that life is a struggle with work and more work constant struggling with no hope. My working negative passed from generation to generation.
Fear was the worst of the negatives. I asked that the negative to appear as Debbie suggested,  a personification of the negative attitude to face, observe, and question. Fear was an ugly aged bum that slobbered, dirty, and glared into my eyes. At a cattle auction when I was five, his friend offered candy, and this man grabbed me in front of all the people passing bye. My mom saved me. I sat in the car, the old man smile, he had won. My voice was stopped, I could not be seen on stage. Now, I sat across from the bum at an outside cafe. I stared and asked this analogizing memory, “What do you have to offer?” He glared. I asked, “What is your positive gift that I needed.” I was amazed not a word spoken, only I heard COURAGE and STRENGTH to MOVE, NOT TO FREEZE, an answer. I glared at filthy fear while he struggles to lift up to leave with his friend, who waited, both bent, dirty old negatives.
I  made charts about my conversations with other attitudes: Daring Dog, Ole Crone, Angry Adie, Roomer Roma, Craze Jane, Victim Vic, Ugly Herb, Frozen Fred, Numb Nellie, Ailing Allen, Sad Sue, Sloppy Sofie, Dull Doug, Leech Lee, to name a few.  Negatives are predators of prejudices, attitudes, opinions, horrors, who cover the positives.
Here is my chart — Face your negative.
~~~~~~~~~

Z FOR THE EMOTIONAL FEELING, ZEAL!

GET OUT OF THE BOX!

First --> to see and feel an emotion filling the room:  fear, joy, revenge, hate, anger, love (I hate you!). Next, the projection of attitudes from people: struggle, negativism, fearfulness, unloved, fulfillment, peacefulness, blindness, humorous, selfish, etc., which float around in a room mixing.

Second --> these beliefs (good or bad) are learned before we are three. At that age, one has very little to remember and lots to learn, especially attitudes and opinions, and this learning is enormous because of the lack of experience in the three-year-old mind. Then at all ages, this learned attitude or position of the three-year-old becomes dominant. Then child, youth, adult, prove these attitudes or opinions are correct through all the experiences lived. As people, we use and think these attitudes are real, proper, right, made the truth, as told by storytellers in traditional folktales. When I was a child, men wrote these stories and offer the attitude of that time.

The destruction of clear thinking, negative attitudes, or opinions is a wall in the road of seeing what is really here and correct for us.

Third --> with many, many experiences the three-year-old’s magnified grip on a negative emotional will relax. My worst attitude was 'I WAS SECOND TO A HE, THE OWNER.' NOT FROM MY DAD AS FAIR AS HE WAS TO ME; THIS ATTITUDE CAME FROM MY MOTHER. Her brothers went to high school; like her, she went off to work at age 14. Positive emotional feelings and attitudes helped me change this limited vision of the world into possibilities and better opportunities.

NOW, I ventured into my life;  seeing, smelling, observing, tasting, and touching, reacting to the positives going around.

I am me.
He is him.
Mine is not his.
We live in balance.

~~~~~~~~~
I say to all he, she, his, her, this is us, ours.
—> Get out of the BOX:  observe, wonder, marvel at the balance we have with the feminine.
—> Get out of the three-year-old’s picture and attitudes, start accepting good, strong
emotional feelings of gender to decide what you want that is best for your child, youth, and adult, a must for others, also!
--> I work every day to be a feminist to encourage girls, maiden, matrons, and crones; we have, we own, and so happen. WE, the genders together, must change the language and rib ourselves of dominating he, inside words for hers.  We are balanced we, us, ours, individuals, each a being,
# 12 - Elisa and the Eleven Swans, LOYALTY
lost vs labor --> librate.
L is for the emotional feeling of - LOYALTY!
Elisa and the Eleven Swans
Do I like this story!  Maybe!
A folktale supposedly Hans Christian Anderson wrote, and after reading his real effort to write, this follows the traditional folktales of the time. He told it in the royal courts, so given him credit because males wrote about male's worth.  Elisa knows how to weave, so first told by servants and laborers who created clothes, most likely together, spinning tales of hope.
This tale is like the Grimm Brothers. A wicked stepmother full of jealousy ruins the life of the father, (the word 'her' included in the spelling), and the children, especially the daughter. I always wondered, "where is the father"? Again, a wicked woman (wo'man' the word man included in the spelling) ruins with 'his' family. I think these (t'he'se) are tales to have women (wo'men') stay with her family because another wicked woman will destroy everything without the man knowing, "never trust the other woman."
The saving feature of this tale is a sister, learns weaving from the peasant family. After Elisa travels through a horrid nightmare adventure, frees her brothers from a curse spun by a wicked woman, the stepmother. Who is really the nemesis? Patrilocal society!
Also, this hints at the acceptance of what is offered with no fighting, screaming, or anger just blatant acceptance. Were women this dull-witted or is this folktale to tell young girls, if you accept and are patient and loyal, you will be liberated as a QUEEN, destine to run the castle for your husband, the KING, or always just a working Princess.
#5 - Lady Enid - ESTEEM
READ A2Z Blogs.
Endanger vs endure --> expel.
E is for today's emotion, ESTEEM.
Lady Enid’s narrative, Knight Geraint of King Author’s Cour
Do I like the Story? Maybe? "Lady Enide stands by her man," a power only a wise woman has. A female voice in the first person and speaking in the past tense not done verbally or written for classic tales. She travels on the quest, horrified, astonished, and marvels at her husband's compelling drive for esteem. The sword in hand, the spear, and lance to win, and using his wife as a decoy, The macho male of my early childhood and his car of shiny armor. I understand the burdens placed on this code of behaviors on young males and, thus, the young females.
Knight Geraint, a jealous lover,  an irresponsible husband, takes his wife, Lady Enid, on a long endangered, perilous quest to prove he is a grand warrior (her knight in shining armor) worthy of her admiration and esteem. I adapted and modifies for the narrative by Lady Enid, Daughter of Earl Ynywl, wife to Geraint of King Author’s Court!
This is an ancient tale, a classic, a Mabinogion Myth, early 11 century, or before with versions that cross between Wales and Brittany France. Maybe a bit of Germanic influence included. Stories traveled with the traders and the troubadours which rode on the trading routes.
 ~~~~~~

Because this is a long tale, my verbal telling done in scenes or events to remember the story, then only after charting the characters, motives, the plot telling the legend. Organizing into scenes is to ground into the events as stages and lets Enid tell the story.

#4 - Ursula - DISTINGUISH

Read A2Z Blogs!
Demand vs dispute --> determined.
D for emotional feeling, distinguish!

 Ursula, The Kitchen Princess

 I do like this story. YES! A girl princess stands up for what she wants. Ursula does accomplish what she desires beyond her father's demands and his misunderstanding of her gift. Much of what women faced when I was a child.

My dad pushed me to do, to adventure so saved. I saw my friends struggle and comply with the codes and norms, which were steadfast in their families. Most young women got married after high school. I attended Colorado University, which gave me a varied life, although still fenced by male dominance.

URSULA was a princess who lives with her father, King Wilfred, and two older sisters. Their palace was in Eastern Europe sometime in the 14th century when there exist small kingdoms and salt wars to possess the preserver of foods. Ursula, a young feminine 'damsel in distress,' loved to cook and spent all her time in the kitchen. Her father was demanding, disagreeable, and disappointed to his youngest daughter, who preferred the kitchen and the servants. At this time in Europe, the male and the social lines make her a victim. Ursula will not detour her love and runs away from home. A matron, an owner of an INN, helps her improve cooking and serving. The damsel becomes distinguished for her cookery.

Ursula and the Salt of Life, YouTube telling -- is okay, worth viewing.

#3 - Little Prairie HEN!, CHOOSE!

Read A2Z Blogs.
Caged vs cause --> capable.
C is for today's emotion, CHOOSE!

Little Prairie HEN!

I like this story. The fact a little hen made bread all by herself, she is a winner. The first folktale I heard as a child. My Grandma is my little prairie hen. I needed a female winner, a mother hen, warm and cozy.

We did have the prairie birds on the Alpine Meadows of Colorado, especially at Harzel Flats, we drove through to go fishin'. Grandma Bessie walked behind a coverwagon from Indiana to Limon, Colorado.

Now she lived in Colorado Springs close our home.
My brother and I  walked from our house on 18th Street across a long field to 26th Street to visit Grandma Bessie. We ventured through the disabled train terminal. Trains once traveled up Pike Peak to Cripple Creek to pick up gold then down the mountain to the Golden Cycle Mill, which was abandon and up on sandhill behind our house. We live by Fountain Creek that flowed below the gold mill. What fun we had exploring the creek and old mill!

By the time we got to grandma's house, she had baked fresh bread for us, and we had many stories to tell her. When we arrived, mean, cranky step-grandpa was in his rocking chair demanding, and Grandma served him. He saved her and her four children when her husband died when my mom was six. My Grandma had a garden, cherry, and apple trees, a pond full of fish, chickens, a goat, lots of cats, and six children. She made her bread in a wooden stove and had a water pump in her kitchen. She did all this herself.

When we have a cause, we might think too hard for us, some of us ask for help and are turned down by some. The prairie hen is not upset and does what she must in order to make life easier for her and her chicks. She has a friend to help Mrs. Mouse.

I figured if Grandma Bessie could do these in her world, her granddaughter can in my world. Now on with the compiling the versions, I realize the male voice, dominate in my youth.  I've rewritten and re-image and understand by these stories sang.

Read Bubble #1 and Bubble #3, read on wattpad.
The  PDF with the story of Prairie Hen will be posted later, all the correction and stories, a week for each would be better.

Hare and the Turtle

One of my favorites fables because I think of myself like a turtle, slow and steady and somehow winning the race. The turtle in eastern countries in their ancient myths holds up the four directions of this earth. P'ngue, the first dragon of China stood on turtle's back and listened to all the stories turtle told. P'ngue gave turtles stories to us. The coastal Indians of American have a story for the 13 sections on turtle's back for the 13 moons of the year.

When I was a child in Colorado, turtles still walked the prairies, and sometimes we would catch one, of course, the snapping turtle bites. The turtles were old about a foot across. I hope the slow, careful reptiles still live on those vast plains of the midwest.

Why Hare Lost!
To the Pacific American, turtle carries 13 stories on her back.

HARE one day ridiculed the short feet and slow pace of the TURTLE, who replied, laughing: "Though you are as swift as the wind, I will beat you in a race." The Hare, believing her assertion impossible, accepted the proposal; and they agreed that the Fox should choose the course and fix the goal. On the day appointed for the race, the two started together. The Tortoise never for a moment stopped but went on with a slow but steady pace straight to the end of the course. The Hare, lying down by the wayside, fell fast asleep. At last, waking up, and moving as fast as he could saw that Turtle had reached the goal, and was comfortably asleep after her success.

Slow but steady wins the race.

Part 10 - Today we honor FIRE.

On our birthday cakes, FIRE sits and slowly eats the candles which represent our years of life. We make a wish on FIRE’s contained enchantment, charm, and magic while FIRE eats. Then we make a wish and blown FIRE off the candle. FIRE stops eating and the candles smoke. As we take the candles from the cake, we lick off the icing. Then we cut the cake offering pieces to our guests to celebrate our next year of power, happiness, and growth.

SUCCESS Reflection --> atozchallenge list #598

List #598

I did write 26 stories daily and posted to wattpad.com so others could read--> followed my theme, emotions that fit the story with one negative, had a title design for each story and the LETTER A to Z from the Blogging Challenge. I did survive and did succeed. And my pledge is to weekly add another tale --> I did fail telling the stories on soundcloud.com because this not the venue for storytelling. So my next GREAT PROJECT will be how-to put verbal stories on itunes, plus interviews with artists, writers, and storytellers, telling their back-story of their venues for their audiences --> viewers, readers, and listeners.

Now, more stories to come!
And beyond that on the last day, April 30th, having finish early in the morning the atoz challenge; I went to the Bay Area Storytelling Festival, their last of 30. Once, I volunteer and did publicity, 2008, 2009, and 2010 the 25th festival plus took photos. One marvelous, fantastic, well-organized story festival done by volunteers for 30 years sharing professional performers from across the country and the Bay Area. A family of friends, which I hope regroups into another fantastic venue. Best of all, I bought 26 raffle tickets for my 26 stories written and posted for readers to enjoy. And beyond that, and beyond, guess what?  --> I WON THE hand-stitched QUILT, the LAST ONE, 30 YEARS of festivals and 30 years of quilts! APRIL 30 was a good day!

WORTH, want, wonderful, watchful, warm, whole, wealthy, willful, willing, wise, wonder, wanderer —> WORRIED

Welcome lovers of story!  Today’s story is about Bear, Tiger and the Heaven’s Son, a creation myth from Korean. Creation myths can be changed to suit the leaders of a country, as done by every, every conqueror since the early battles for territory. The victories broadcasted in paintings on rock, in temples, palaces, in verbal stories, then written, and now photographs, viewed in movies, on TV news, and now on our computers. Story changes to suit the place, time, and teller, as all good stories and history does. Can we believe what we hear or what we see? Some say we do believe what is written. I wonder, Why?

VALUE, vital, vivid, vigorous, virtue, valiant, virtue, vision, voice, valuable, valued, vigor, vibrant --> VICTIM

Welcome lovers of story!  Today’s story is about a pearl and its value to dragons and the moon.

Before there was anything, there was Yin, the heavy, material of the earth, and Yang, the light material of the sky, circling in chaos through the sky the might Milky Way. P’angu, the First Dragon was born from an egg that came from their chaos. P’angu gave us the Silver Dragon, the Golden Phoenix, the Unicorn and the Tortoise, and his dreams. When he died, P’angu  gave us China. He left his father Yang, the sky and Yang, and his mother the earth, Yin.

The ancients drew Queen Mother and King Father as serpents with human heads. As thousands of years passed, Yang became the King Father of the East. Yin became the Queen Mother of the West. Eventually, both became humans, dressed in the finest golden silk embroidered with dragons stitched with bright colors. They are Celestial Dragons that hold up the heavens and lived in the royal temple on a high golden mountain that reached 333 thousand feet high into the middle of the sky. They had nine sons and twenty-nine daughters. P’angu's brother drew the Sun God’s chariot through the sky. The Sun God helped the first Dynasty, yellow Dragon, The Sun God gave medicines and herbs and the five crop stone to the farmers.

After P’angu died his friends, the Sliver Dragon and the Golden Phoenix, stayed in the Milky Way, the universe. One day they found a stone and the Queen Mother wants the magic.

Welcome lovers of story!  Today’s story is about a farmer’s fest to invite the animals into his barn and service. A rooster does the bidding for the farmer, possibly for territory! While Raven does the warning about the farmer. A one of a kind folktale in Andrew Lang collection in the Brown Fairy Book. Once thought to violent for children. I read the books when in the 6th and 7th grades. I would bike to the West Side Library in Colorado City with my best friend. My reading scores went up from a non-reader to excellent plus I learned about the cultures of the Europe and Middle East. All that reading of Lang, Grimm, and the other great collectors and my grammar and spelling skills are my nemesis, or possibly because of the grammar and spelling from those times.

Japan was settled in the 16th-century by generals, who make Japan one very prosperous nation. The 17th-century saw the rise of Kyoto where the rich occupied the fantasy of fashion, courtesans, and eventually the geisha, which means persons of art: conversation, dance, music, preforming the tea ceremony, reading literature, and fine calligraphy, well educated. 1730’s Both men and women were Geishas. They entertained like the jesters in the European courts. By 1780s Geishas were mostly women under strict governmental regulation, not licensed prostitutes. Geishas lived in Tea Houses to offer their entertainments of the arts. The famous Japanese Tea Ceremony is associated with Geisha. Their fashions supported the merchants shops: the gown - the Komodo; fans; hair dressing and wigs; make-up; instruments, and musicians. L – LOVE, logical, limber, liable, lovely, lively, love, loyal, light, likeable, lucky, listens ---> LONELY

Since Li Chi and other brave warriors kept worms and serpents out of China, and after many wars, and the closing of the silk roads, comes  the age of the Golden Dragon, the Song Dynasty 400 to 1400 centuries. China was very prosperous.

A young scholar had completed his training in the three perfections, poetry, art and calligraphy. Prince Yu of China, with Turtle, a best friend of the first dragon Paguo, carved the Yellow River, they designed raging rapids over the steep rocks. Prince Yu said, “Whatever fish jumps rocks becomes a dragon.” So now this young scholar is a dragon of the Golden Court of the Song Dynasty. He seeks his health, fortune, and a love he never expected.
